Crooked Lake is the new project from Michael Keefe (of Cicada Radio).  With a noted departure from the signature Cicada Radio sound, Crooked Lake takes on a more subdued  sound and stripped-down acoustic ensemble ripe with twangy guitar melodies that summon hints of folk and indie rock.  While Crooked Lake begins to showcase its unique take on melancholic Americana,  the record displays the noted development of lush noise scapes and field recordings between tracks that sound as if you are descending into a world of complete madness.

At its heart, “Crooked Lake” represents coming of age, holding on to all the people and places that have made you who you are and most importantly, keeping an open heart to the unique yet paralleled struggles everyone faces in life.
